Dean Alan Ashenfelder, Jr. – DJ to his family – lost his battle to SUD on July 16, 2021, in our home in Lake Toxaway, NC. For 13 years he struggled to free himself of the chains that had him bound to a life of addiction.
In 2008, DJ enlisted in the US Army and graduated from basic training. He was stationed at Fort Hood and trained to become a Motor Transport Operator. He was on top of the world… so proud of his accomplishment and the opportunity to do something special with his life. Read more
